Najmi : Have you ever heard that Icha and Doni are getting married?
Hilal : Oh, really? What a surprise. I’m very pleased to hear that. When is the wedding?

Malam Keakraban
Malam keakraban adalah sebuah acara yang diadakan oleh tiga organisasi besar di SMA Negeri 8 Batang Hari, yaitu PIK Remaja "MB", Batanghari 8 Sinema, dan Teater 8. Tujuan diadakan acara malam keakraban ini adalah sebagai ajang sosialisasi maupun promosi terhadap siswa/siswi baru untuk mengikuti salah satu dari ketiga organisasi tersebut.
Konsep acara malam keakraban adalah menampilkan semua kreativitas maupun karya dari masing - masing anggota PIK Remaja "MB", Batanghari 8 Sinema, dan Teater 8. PIK Remaja "MB" menampilakan sebuah teater berjudul "TRIAD KRR" yang pernah tampil di salah satu perguruan tinggi, yaitu Universitas Jambi. Sedangkan Batanghari 8 Sinema menayangkan karya berbentuk film, diantaranya "Menuai Harapan di Bulir Sawit" (Juara 1 FFJ 2011), "Perjuangan Untuk Masa Depan" (Nominasi Festival Film Jogja), dan "Kutinggalkan Cinta Dikala Bersemi" (Penghargaan Khusus di Festival Film Krakatau, Lampung). Dan Teater 8 sendiri menampilkan drama berjudul "Putri Cermin Cina" yang merupakan runner up di FLS2N tingkat Kabupaten.
